- 3/4 kg manteca de cerdo
- 1 kg azúcar
- 1 cucharada Royal

- Lavar las guayabas, partirlas y ponerlas a cocer con una rajita de canela.

- Vaciamos la harina y el "puré" que preparamos, empezamos a batir nuevamente.
- Escurrimos las hojas que ya están manejables, y comenzamos a ponerles la mezcla.
- Ya que tenemos todos los tamales hechos, los acomodamos.. en una vaporera.
- Las hojas que nos hayan quedado remojadas, las ponemos sobre los tamales, le acomodamos una bolsa de plástico (para guardar mejor el calor) y finalmente, su tapadera.
- Los podemos poner a cocinar sobre la estufa o en un anafre con carbón (pero hay que cuidar el medio ambiente), por aproximadamente una hora y cuarto. Le ponemos agua a la vaporera hasta la marca y debemos vigilar que no se consuma, pues se nos pueden quemar nuestros tamalitos.
